Tea Bears are a unique candy that can be enjoyed both as a snack and as a beverage. These small, gummy bear-like figures offer a distinctive combination of flavor and functionality, making them popular with both adults and children. Inspired by some of our favourite tea creations, here you can learn more about the unique qualities and special features of these delicious Tea Bears.

Manufacturing Process of Tea Bears

Our fruity Tea Bears take their inspiration from some of our most popular teas and are created from high-quality ingredients, some of which are natural flavours.

The production process begins with the cooking of a special fruit gum base made from glucose syrup, sugar and gelatine or pectin. For our classic varieties and therefore the majority of our range, we use gelatine; for those who are vegan, we also offer an alternative with pectin.

After mixing the base mixture with the flavourings and other ingredients, the fruit gum mixture is poured into individual moulds. The mixture is embedded in maize starch to shape it. We use different sized moulds for our classic and vegan bears and the texture differs slightly.

The next step is the drying/ripening process in the drying room over a period of two to seven days. This step is essential for our Tea Bears to develop their unique texture. To achieve the final lustre, after powdering, the Tea Bears undergo an oiling process for the typical gummy bear shine and are now ready to be eaten.

Fruity and refreshing varieties like Elderflower-Rhubarb, Raspberry-Vanilla, Mango, and Peach-Lemon are ideal for relaxing outdoor days or as a refreshing snack. In cooler weather, our spicy winter varieties like Ginger-Lemon and Cinnamon-Orange offer a pleasant warmth.

Fruity options like Blood Orange and Cranberry-Vanilla provide refreshing moments of enjoyment, while Raspberry-Woodruff brings a nostalgic touch. Additionally, our seasonal highlights—Baked Apple and Mulled Wine—offer cozy winter flavor experiences.
