The company Dulcioliva is a traditional family business which was founded in 1924 in the Piemont, in northern Italy. The company is now run in its third generation. An exceptional speciality of this family are the chocolate pralines with hazelnuts from Piemont, the Noccioghiotti Hazelnut Pralines with the flavour varieties: Baci di Borgo, Gianduja and Nocciola Classica. Following old traditions, Dulcioliva developed a recipe of the original Gianduiotti for the Nougat Bites, which were already invented in the middle of the 19th century. The best cocoa varieties with 30% of the precious hazelnuts from Piemont are blended, creating a Gianduiotto with a pleasant, creamy sensation and a noble hazelnut flavour.
The high proportion of cocoa (52%) is responsible for the deliciously dark chocolate aroma of this truffle praline.
