A wide variety of oriental scents drift through the streets of Cairo, Damascus and Marrakesh, enticing the senses with the intense aromas of spices. Ginger and cardamom, aniseed and cumin, turmeric and pepper, cloves and cinnamon are among the classic spices that evoke the Orient's colourful world and its exotic mystique. The spiciness is rounded off with flowery rose petals, since rose water is also intrinsic to this region and therefore a must.
