Origin and Plantation
This 100 % Hawaii coffee is being cultivated in the Kona district on the "Big Island Hawaii".
The coffee grows on the western side of the island on the slopes of the volcanoes Mauna Loa, Hualalai and Mauna Kea. The climate there is tropical; ideal for coffee plantations, with a wellbalanced
mix of sun and shade, tropical heat and volcanic soil. It is said that this cultivation region has the most ideal pre-conditions for coffee growing in the world. The beans are mostly
picked by hand and are only available in limited amounts on the world market. The Hawaii Kona
is traded as one of the best coffees of the world. Character and Taste
Ideal climatic conditions in combination with the volcanic soil give the coffee its intensively fruity
and spicy flavour. This excellent South Seas coffee has a strong, fruity body but little tanginess. Light, sweet, nutty aromas give it its mellow taste with a soft but expressive flavour. A must-have
for any coffee lover!
