Victoria’s Peak is an independent section within the tea garden Steinthal, named after Queen Victoria. Only select tea shrubs are planted and cultivated in this rather small section. Only very limited amounts reach the export market!
The Monteviot Garden is located in the southern Kurseongvalley of Darjeeling and was founded in 1856..
Located at the foot of the Himalaya Mountains, this tea plantation was founded some 170 years ago by a German missionary and is, thus, one of the eldest tea plantations in Darjeeling. Finest organic teas are produced at altitudes of 1,100 – 2,000 m.
According to legend, this tea garden was founded in 1885 by Buddhist monks and originally carried the name “Sidrabong”. Today, the plantation is called Arya and produces almost exclusively organic varieties of first class at altitudes of 850 to 1,800 m.
The leaves have a beautiful Oolong look, aromatic and fresh with exquisite clonal notes..
