Broken
As soon as a „B“ appears in the quality description of a tea, this tea is not counted as a leaf tea anymore.
B stands for Broken and describes a smaller gradation. It is
smaller than the whole leaf, but larger than Fannings or Dust. Broken
varieties are created naturally when the tea is rolled and definitely
does not mean that the tea is of poorer quality.
The infusion made of smaller leaves is stronger as the water has a larger surface area to 'atttack' than with whole leaves.
